Sensorimotor operating principle
Sensorimotor insoles are special insoles from the orthopaedics sector. They are particularly designed to reduce misalignments of the foot and thereby prevent twisting or, worse, muscle cramps.
As the name “sensorimotor” suggests, these insoles have an effect on the sensory perception of the foot inside the shoe. To help them do this, the soles incorporate pelotte support or pressure pads. The pressure this generates and the changed position of the foot lead to an optimised sequence of movements in the foot and to improved posture. This results in a reduction of tension and pain in the entire musculoskeletal system, especially in the joints. Due to the custom-made construction of the Winsole Customized we can create a sensorimotor effect if required.
