These days, there are several suppliers of insoles for cycling shoes on the market. Winsole is one of the longest standing and most innovative providers. The increase in performance through our insoles is the result of different effects, which together create an optimised distribution of pressure. On the one hand, our insoles prevent splaying of the forefoot under stress as much as possible. On the other hand, the special carbon fibre core of the Winsole creates an additional torsion that generates additional impulse and thereby optimally drives the pressure onto the metatarsophalangeal joint. In addition, the torsion stabilises the knee and ankle joint. As a result, the discomfort in these areas disappears and there is a great increase in performance due to the stability of the joints and the foot.
Various studies and the cooperation with the FES (Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum für Sportgeräte Berlin – “Research and Development Centre for Sports Equipment in Berlin”) and the national track cycling team spanning over 13 years have also proven these effects on a scientific basis. Various tests, both on the track and on special power meters (measured in watts), have demonstrated values in the range of 5% to 15% additional power output. The Winsole Performance and Winsole Customized therefore not only create additional pressure on the pedal but also reduce muscle fatigue, which is an important aspect in training and competitions for cyclists and triathletes alike.
