How the fitting process works
1. Bike fitting or foot analysis
Riding position, cleat placement and foot alignment are measured. Only then is it clear whether the complaints come from the bike, the shoe or the foot.
2. Choosing the insole
Comfort (€109) and Performance (€139) are selected by size and available immediately. Customized (€199) is built from your footprint – with a prescription, German insurers contribute.
3. Production in Büttelborn
Every carbon insole is made in our own manufactory in Büttelborn. Final adjustment happens inside the shoe – ideally right at the fitting partner.

Where can I get Winsole insoles in the Rhine-Main region?
Directly at the Winsole manufactory in Büttelborn (Willy-Brandt-Str. 28, 64572 Büttelborn) and at our partners in Offenbach: Machacek Fahrradbiometrie for bike fitting and Schneider & Piecha for orthopaedic consultation. Comfort and Performance can also be ordered from the online shop at any time.
Do I need a bike fitting before the insole?
For knee, back or saddle-area pain the sensible order is bike fitting first, insole second: the fitting shows whether the cause lies in the riding position. Once the position is right, the carbon insole stabilises the foot as the last link in the chain.
Can I get Winsole insoles without an appointment?
Yes. Comfort (€109) and Performance (€139) are chosen by shoe size and ship immediately – €4.50 shipping within Germany. Only the Customized made-to-measure insole requires a foot analysis.
Will health insurance cover the cost?
With a doctor's prescription, German statutory and private insurers contribute to the Customized insole. See our prescription page for calculation examples.
